On and through the ashes, I become transcendence, bathed in your light...
--

-The Eternal Movement-

In tender arms, I dreamed of sleep, but closed eyes yield only tears. An unspoken truth wrapped me in nothing; the blue simply cold incarnate, and all else consumed by grey asphyxiation. In my tireless search for an untainted flame, I became an emptiness greater than ignorance.

All names on her satin lips excluded mine, and I was lost in the aftertaste of language. Black and gold passed through me, unable to perceive that which no longer lived.

I sail with the breath of the moon on starry skies, risen and solemn in ashes' wake. Searching the intimate eyes of a timeless night, I found only reflections more real than I could have ever hoped to be. The lingering taste of dust brings memories to life, and solitude fades as I am embraced by warm reminiscence.

Cloaked in the eternal shadow, the memory of innocence skirted my eyes, and in that tiny light I glimpsed the final truth for no more than an endless moment.

I drew breath for the first time since the End. Inundated with passion, I cradled the glowing firefly in my hand, reveling in its sweet reminder, dancing as it caressed my fingers with a heat nearly lost to a boundary of heedless sorrow.

Requiem claimed both Light and Shadow, and touch was born among the eulogy of sight. A warm tear alighted upon my bare shoulder, and burned me with it's birthright. Understanding gripped my soul with the calm fury of Empathy's maelstrom, coursing through me as angelic pity.

Like an afterthought more valued than Gold, the flight of the fire traces you into perfect subconscious existence.

I smile in your treasured memory, and I take your hand, tears becoming a beautiful dye upon the ash below. The aria of days ended plays on, and we sway in the quiet stillness of Forever.

As we share in the shapeless breath of seasons, the transience of language is audible in the silence.

This is connected to an earlier piece, tho I guess that depends on how you interpreted this poem's predecessor. :)

By "movement," I'm talking in terms of music. Go look it up and find the definition that relates to music if you're that curious.

It's a poem, despite the prose-y look of it; I was in my "poem writing" mindset as it was composed.

I doubt this will get much more revision, for as it stands, what it means to me is crystal clear.

Again, everything means something. Enjoy! ;)

You wrote exceedling well and it was a joy to read each part. However, the parts were not connected very well (to my mind). The over all flow was halting.
As a side note, the line "solitude fades as I am embraced by warm reminiscence." is different for me. I always feel more alone when I remember how it used to be.

wow... this is really really good

Amazing and beautiful as always... "I was lost in the aftertaste of language" is how I feel after reading this. Your choice of wording is perfect here.
