Literature Text

-Iterate-

Lavish care upon the shelled
and weep for lack of knowing,
Kiss and buy each stoic eye
to free to you and outside bring
the secret suspect tears within.

Wear it down with gentle words
to melt away those stones austere,
Shadows cast by troubles past
in new times turn to dissapear
with all the love spake insincere.

So it breaks and all is bare
before your ever grasping claws,
Fail to see the mirror-clad me
and each reflection's hundred flaws
to stand instead in loving awe.

Experience has lessons small
and unimportant for your eyes,
Naught else to do- free me of you
so you can love your love's first cry
before you lay it down to die.

Lavish care upon the shelled
and weep for lack of mystery,
Soon you'll find you feel entwined
and in your fear all words will flee
until another's empty plea.

I might make another version of this that doesn't rhyme, but I'm not sure. It's still a bit rough.

You know i never have been able to get into poems that rhyme, and this is no exception. I'm sorry i can't give any constructive criticism. :)
