Innocent Integration by ~seekingtruth:iconseekingtruth:

-Innocent Integration-

What memory doth live in sleep?
Those and they who secrets keep
Devoutly leaving seekers blind
Bring sickness bleeding men in bind
So that without a care to speak
Knowledge dies with times nigh bleak

What of our breed would so hold back?
Concealed is truth as shadows black
Strength doth stem those drawn to rile
An afterthought bringing a transient smile
Though understanding some may possess
Acquiescence yields to littler stress

What part of thee has yet to cry?
Few thoughts now breathe before they die
The battles fought at mortal risk
Are tamer still than guile's kiss
Should time not shift its dire course
Then freedoms lost know not remorse

Author's Comments

This poem has a vibe of some sort running through it. I'm not telling, though.

And yes, I meant "littler." As in, little, like small, and then er. I was inspired to write like this after reading some Shakespeare in me English class. I thought the sound of "littler," whether it's a real word or not, fit the style I used.

Very nice, you stupid mother-fucking-pussy-eating-son-of-a-bit ch. There, all but the first word of that insult is true. ;) Awesome poem. I love this style. The words used bring out this crazy voice in my head.:eyepopping: No, not that voice, the voice I hear when I read Shakespeare, you dumbass!

I'm an optimistic realist- is that an oxymoron?

"Does God want goodness or the choice of goodness? Is a man who chooses to be bad perhaps in some way better than a man who has the good imposed upon him?" -Prison Chaplain (Clockwork Orange)
