In the courthouse's shadow  we challenged the world's eyes  When our passions burst free  unbeknownst to the idiocracy,  And we lived a moment of life well spent  Before we crept with legs still quivering  Back into the world's flow.   
Together, we braved the mad architecture  Of a library conjured of chaos.  We dabbled in many a dusty tome  While we subtly composed loving verses  to share with each other in secret.  We escaped the strange building to play in the grass,  pouncing and tangling and mewing like cats.

Lady of the Desert, come!

Well, it took two and a half months, but I finally finished my (mini) epic poem, Lady of the Desert! It has a whole lot of my heart and soul in it, and I'm quite excited to be able to share it with people. It's the most important poem I've written so far (in my own little Universe, anyway ;)), so I hope you enjoy it! I took a lot of time setting it up to be easy to read on DA and I've annotated it as well, complete with instructions on how to properly read it aloud in the hopes that you hear and feel the piece as I did.
